Rootgrow Alopecia Oil — Ayurvedic Scalp Oil for Patchy Hair Loss
What It Is
Alopecia Oil is a single-purpose Ayurvedic scalp oil built around three classical herbs — Karanj, Babchi and garlic oil. It’s meant for people dealing with patchy hair loss, thinning areas, or weak roots, and is applied directly to the affected part of the scalp rather than all over.
It’s a slow, routine product. You massage it in, leave it, wash it off. That’s the whole method.
Key Ingredients
Karanj (Pongamia pinnata) — Traditionally used in Ayurveda for scalp cleanliness and maintaining a healthy scalp environment.
Babchi (Psoralea corylifolia) — A classical Ayurvedic herb long used in formulations for the skin and scalp.
Garlic Oil — Contains natural sulphur compounds; traditionally used in oil massage to support scalp circulation.
No mineral oil. No added colour.
How To Use
- Take a small amount of oil on your fingertips — enough to cover the affected area, not the whole head.
- Apply directly to the patch or thinning area.
- Massage gently in circular motions for 5–10 minutes.
- Leave it on for at least 2–3 hours. Overnight is fine too.
- Wash off with a mild shampoo.
Frequency: Daily, or as advised by your practitioner.
What To Expect
Ayurvedic scalp oils work gradually. Most people use this kind of formulation consistently for 6–8 weeks before assessing any change, and many continue longer.
Results vary from person to person. Scalp condition, the type and duration of hair loss, age, diet and general health all play a part. Some people see a change sooner, some later, and for some it may not suit them at all. We’d rather say that upfront than promise something we can’t stand behind.
Consistency matters more than quantity — daily application of a small amount does more than occasional heavy use.
Who It’s For
- Men and women dealing with patchy or localised hair loss
- People with thinning areas who want an Ayurvedic oil-based routine
- All hair types and textures
Before You Use It
- Do a patch test on your inner forearm 24 hours before first use.
- For external use only. Keep away from eyes. If it gets in your eyes, rinse with plain water.
- Avoid if you have open cuts, wounds or active infection on the scalp.
- Babchi can increase skin sensitivity to sunlight in some people. Avoid direct sun exposure on the applied area.
- If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or under treatment for a scalp or skin condition, check with your doctor before using.
- Not recommended for children under 12.
- If you notice irritation, redness or burning, stop use and wash the area.
This is an Ayurvedic cosmetic preparation, not a medicine. It does not treat, cure or prevent any disease. If your hair loss is sudden, rapid, or spreading, please see a dermatologist.
